Introudction of Dissolvable Bridge Plug
The designed dissolvable Bridge Plug is a temporary fracture plug which is made of dissolvable metal
and rubber material, it consist of mandrel, trust ring, wedge, element and guide etc.
The plug is attached to a wireline pressure operated setting tool through the use of an adaptor kit. When
the plug is run into the well to the setting depth, the setting tool is activated. The setting sleeve of the
adaptor kit pushes against the thrust ring and the tension sub of the adaptor kit pulls up the mandrel and
the guide. This upward movement shears the pins in the thrust ring and top slips, and forces the top slip
over the upper wedge to engage the casing wall. The internal parts of the plug continue to move up,
shearing the pins in the upper wedge, compressing the element, shearing the pins in the lower wedge,
setting the bottom slip.
